The Outcome Mapping manual was published in 2001 and is the go-to document for the basics on Outcome Mapping. In reality, and as recommended in the manual, the practice of OM takes on many different shapes and sizes and rarely follows the exact steps in the manual. To document these adaptations and applications of OM, the OMLC has produced a new guide, the OM Practitioner Guide, which complements the original manual.
The OM Practitioner Guide aims to bring together the tips, tricks and nuggets from across the OM community, illustrating just how practitioners are using OM in real cases. It provides concrete examples of complexity-oriented planning, defining and monitoring results, and planning evaluations. The guide will be web-based and integrated in the outcomemapping.ca website to enable it to grow and evolve over time as usage of OM develops. We already have over 50 contributions from community members and are continually adding more.
Please join us or a webinar on Thursday, October 30th, 2014 at 12:00 GMT for the official launch of the OM Practitioner Guide; we’ll walk you through how to use it as well as how to contribute to it, and take your questions and comments.
